Mr. Kubacki completed his university education at the Main School of Planning and Statistics — now the Warsaw School of Economics — with emphasis on economics and, subsequently, post-graduate studies on administration of foreign trade.
He also participated in training
programs devoted to the problems of international economic relations, organized by the World Trade Organization in Vienna, by the German Institute of World Economy, as well as Loyola University in the U.S.
Mr. Kubacki began his professional career with the Foreign Trade Enterprise "Orbis”, as a commercial offices' staff member. Later, he worked at the Research Institute for Foreign Trade as the team coordinator. He then moved to the Ministry of Foreign Economics Relations, where he worked as the coordinator of the Overseas Division (U.S., Canada, etc.).
He was twice posted abroad to work for the official Polish commercial representations. From 1975-81, he served in the Commercial Counselor’s Office in Athens, Greece. From 1995-2001, he worked as the Head of the Polish Economic and Commercial Office in Chicago, where he was responsible for the promotion of Polish economic relations in the Midwest.
In January 2002, Mr. Kubacki was promoted to the Director of the Department of International Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy. In March 2005, he was promoted to the position of Minister Counselor/Head of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington.
He is the author of several articles and publications on international economic relations.
